Morton: 11th Annual Texas' Last Frontier Heritage Celebration & Buffalo Soldier Encampment

Coming up June 28-29, 2014, Texas' Last Frontier Heritage Celebration & Buffalo Soldier Encampment, Morton, TX (Cochran County) 

Step back into the early life and times on Texas' far western frontier!  On Saturday join in the downtown parade in Morton featuring a kids' "Decorate Your Bike" Contest and "Love My Ride" Car Show, floats, antique tractors, and horseback riders. Then come to the county park to enjoy a talent show highlighting local musicians, a tour of a Buffalo Soldier Camp, a brisket cookoff to benefit MYR KIDS young riders organization, young ladies' fiesta tea, summer water sports, bingo and domino games, and a variety of food and craft vendors--among other festivities!  Saturday night mosey on over to the Cochran County Rodeo Arena for an exciting MYR KIDS Play Day!  On Sunday morning join in a community worship service in the park sponsored by the Cochran County Ministerial Alliance, followed by a delicious Sunday dinner.
