Canadian: Canadian: Ray Wylie Hubbard at the Stumblin' Goat Saloon

February 1 at 10:15pm to at 11:45pm
Stumblin' Goat Saloon hosts Ray Wylie Hubbard.

As one of the first stops this year on tour of his 2012 album The Grifter’s Hymnal, Texas singer-songwriter Ray Wylie Hubbard performs at the Stumblin' Goat Saloon Sat., Feb. 1, 2014. Hubbard, an American/Folk/Roots musician, has been inspired by rock sounds from the 1960's such as the Rolling Stones, as well as poets like Rainer Maria Rilke. He says the recent album had its times of struggle, but that it has only made him value it more because of it. "The album really does have a lot of attitude,” Hubbard says proudly. “We made it to play loud, and I think the sonic quality of it is just beautiful. Even if you don’t like the singer or the songs, you’ll like the way it sounds."
