Claude: Claude: The Elision Saxophone Quartet

The Elision Saxophone Quartet is celebrating their 20th season and will be making their second appearance at the Gem. Their repertoire includes music from around the world that is expertly played on four horns (soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophones), by highly educated, virtuosic, and traveled musicians. ESQ is available for concerts, residencies, symphony collaborations, and lectures in composition and arranging, ensemble coaching, and jazz history and improvisation. In addition, ESQ is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of chamber musicians as evidenced by their work in arts in education workshops, seminars, and masterclass. Their repertoire includes a diversity of styles that include baroque, classical, romantic, contemporary, jazz, swing, blues, Celtic, Latin, klezmer, dixieland, and bebop. In addition, they offer musical programs for all holiday seasons. ESQ programs repertoire according to the needs and wants of presenters and audiences.
