The National Ranching Heritage Center will be the place to be on Saturday, June 21 for Summer Stampede 2014 – an evening of dinner, western art and western swing. Raising funds for the center’s educational programs and historic ranch structures, the event will feature 20 outstanding artists with paintings, sculptures, spurs and leatherwork on sale. Attendees will also enjoy the sounds of popular western swing band, Jake Hooker and the Outsiders as well as a fajita buffet by Cagle’s Steaks & BBQ.
“We’ve put together a group of some of the most promising talent in the western art world,” said Matt Brockman, executive director of the National Ranching Heritage Center. “Works by these men and women will be pieces to keep forever, so it’s a great opportunity. The band is outstanding and guests will enjoy a fajita buffet. This is going to be a fun and affordable event you don’t want to miss.”
Summer Stampede 2014 will run from 5:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the National Ranching Heritage Center located at 3121 Fourth Street in Lubbock, Texas. Tickets are $75 for the general public and $65 for members of the Ranching Heritage Association and can be purchased at www.ranchingheritage.org or by calling Vicki Quinn-Williams at (806) 742-0498.
