Texas Plains Trail Books

The Texas Plains Trail Region, established in 2003 as a nonprofit organization in the state of Texas, is an award-winning heritage tourism initiative of the Texas Historical Commission representing 52 counties of the Texas Plains and Panhandle. Through promotion, preservation, and education, the Texas Plains Trail Region assists in the development of its unique cultural, heritage, and natural resources for communities and their visitors.

As an extension of its educational mission, the Texas Plains Trail Region founded Texas Plains Trail Books in 2013, during its tenth-anniversary year, to preserve and distribute works of historical and cultural significance in print and digital formats.

Our first title, in August 2014, is The Rim to Rim Road: Will Hamblen and the Crossing of Texas' Palo Duro Canyon, by E. Hamblen with a new introduction by Vicki Hamblen. To order a copy of this book, email us at info@TexasPlainsTrail.com.
