Service station owner Jack Sisemore, who gradually built his family business just off Route 66 into one of Texas's largest RV dealerships, began restoring and collecting unusual vintage recreational vehicles more than 25 years ago. The impressive collection, now housed indoors and outfitted with vintage furnishings, includes the Flxible Bus from the movie "RV," the first Itasca motor home ever built, the oldest Fleetwood in existence, classic Winnebago, Airstream, and Volkswagen models, and many other RV’s from the 1930s to the 1970s. Opened in 2012, this free museum provides an enjoyable and educational glimpse into the origins of a nostalgic chapter of road culture.
