Since 1968 our highway signs have pointed the way to Texas’s unique heritage, breathtaking scenery, and amazing events. Today the Texas Plains Trail Region links travelers to 52 counties and 50,000 square miles of sites and stories a tank trip from Amarillo, Big Spring, or Lubbock.
